My son is in flag football and we have his batting gloves from baseball can he just use those for football or do we need to buy him specific ones?
Thanks

Buy football gloves (receiver gloves). Football gloves have traction lines and bumps in order to better grip/catch a ball. Batting gloves are heavily padded, and are mainly used to absorb and deaden the shock that occurs when the bat hits the ball. They don’t usually have any grips, and can actually make catching a football tougher.

One is meant for battling and one is meant for football.

Yes, he can use those. No point in going out and spending money when he can use his batting gloves. Although football gloves are specially designed for catching. I don’t think it will make much difference.
